Cosine Systems Embedded Computing Platforms Overview

The core platforms from Cosine Systems are based on a line of ARM9 SoC's from Sharp. Running at 200MHz, the efficient ARM9 core provides good performance for 32 bit operating systems such as Windows CE and Linux. Cosine platforms are best suited for applications that have an LCD Flat Panel interface. The CPU, memory, persistent storage, and peripherals are already included on a single board so an entire system can be built from only the board, an LCD, and a backlight power source. Currently Cosine offers three standard platforms linked to the left.

Any of these platforms can serve as a starting point for our rapid customization services. To varying degrees, these core platforms can be used directly out of the box in OEM systems.

Some Potential Applications:
Automotive Instrumentation
Medical Devices
Point of Sale Terminals
Voting Terminals (DRE)
Vending Machines
Card Dispensing Machines
Kiosks
LCD based user interfaces of larger OEM systems and products

Please see the Platform Comparison Guide for a complete list of features.

The Platform Main Features Include:
