Development of Customized drivers and board support packages.
Cosine Systems rapidly develops Board Support Packages which port Windows CE or Linux to our customized hardware. Portability has been the watchword of our development efforts in creating our core BSP designs and collection of device drivers. These serve as a starting point for development of each new BSP. They are best suited for platforms based on ARM Systems on Chip but can be applied to a wide range of embedded solutions. If your system requires a new device or board feature, we can develop a driver and provide a sample application for testing it for different development environments.

What is a board support package?

Embedded Application Development.
For OEMs using our platforms, generic single board computers, or other computing devices running Windows CE, XPe, or Linux, we offer application development services on a project (not hourly) basis. Our platforms of choice are Visual Studio .NET and Embedded Visual C++ for Windows CE, however our engineers have experience covering a broad range of development environments including Linux. We can develop your entire end application. Or, often we merely supply a library that wraps the complex functionality of a serially connected device or some internal board function and provide an API set of commands for your own application developers.
